Re-usable / recyclable Christmas crackers complete with matching Christmas crowns, personalised quotes and mini gifts.
My littlens wanted crackers on the table again this year, and I immediately did the metaphoric eye roll inside my head. Another year of crap jokes, lame 'inspirations' and rubbish plastic gifts.
This led me to my usual thought of "I can do better" which really should be followed by that classic meme "why buy it for $2 when I can make it for $90". That was pretty much exactly this situation. Except I can flat pack them and use them again next year - making them worthwhile and cost effective in the end, right?
Regardless, I'm happy with the outcome and I've ticked one more thing off my 'to do list' which always pleases me. Merry Christmas!
This is the final piece in my 'seasons' collection of crochet art. This one is titled 'Spring Bulbs' and is inspired by the rows of tulips at the Tesselaar Tulip farm. I remember as a child, my mum pouring over the bulb catalogues when they came out each season, trying to pick the additions for that year. With my children being half Dutch, it's only fitting that one of my favourite flowers is now the tulip.
'Spring Bulbs' represents those happy rows of brightly coloured tulips against the clear crisp Spring sky.
