I have a deep love and appreciation for natural fabric. This range of art has been inspired by the beautiful 1970's textile designs of my childhood, and my passion for saturated colour. It is the first piece of four as I plan to do all the seasons.

SUMMER OCEAN ( 2 / 4 )
The second art piece in this series. My birthday is in summer, so naturally it is my favourite season. I adore swimming in the ocean, and I never tire of the stories that the moods of the ocean tell. Watching the ocean is my happy place.

WINTER FIREPLACE ( 3 / 4 )
The third art piece in this series, this piece is inspired by the fireplace of my childhood holiday home. We would sit around on the 70's shag-pile rug and watch the embers crackle and pop and occasionally escape the fireplace onto the rug. This piece represents the gentle warmth from the fire at the end of the evening.

SPRING BULBS ( 4 / 4 )
This is the final piece in my seasons series, 'Spring Bulbs'. This piece is inspired by the rows of tulips at Tesselaars Tulip farm. I remember my mother spending hours pouring over the catalogue each year, deciding which bulbs to add to the collection. Now that my children are half dutch, it seems appropriate that tulips are now a favourite of mine.
